We are a privately owned and operated, non-profit organization located in Sparks, Nevada. Currently we are operating out of my sizeable pool house and patio carport at 1702 Driftwood Drive. Click here for map and directions.
Anyone who is interested in having a gastric bypass, or has had a gastric bypass, or is awaiting a surgery date is welcome to participate in our clothing exchange.
As you or a loved one loses weight after your Gastric Bypass operation you will notice that you are rapidly running out of clothes that fit. You have already spent a considerable sum of money to have your operation and now you need new clothes. Sure, it's great that your clothes are too big, but money doesn't grow on trees. To add to matters, the next size down in clothes will not fit you when you reach your goal weight. In fact you may go down as many as ten or more sizes smaller than you currently are. That's a lot of wardrobes to replenish.
Almost every woman has two wardrobes. One that fits, and her "skinny" clothes. Then she has a few pieces left from her ideal weight. Our concept is simple- donate what does not fit to the Gastric Bypass Clothing Exchange and pick out new clothes that do fit. That's it. No papers to sign, nothing to fill out, no obligations. All we ask is that when clothing no longer fits you return it clean and on hangers.
All donated clothing becomes the property of the Gastric Bypass Clothing Exchange. There are no guarantees that you will find the same amount of clothes donated in your new size. From time to we will auction off clothing in sizes that we have too many of. E-bay will be utilized, notices will be posted on this website and at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wlsreno/ . The donations from the auctions at E-bay will go towards buying more stylish clothing in smaller sizes (at this time we have little in sizes below 16.)
